Great people! Great sweets and great savory eats!
I was in town after meeting with a new client and I am so pleased my friends had shared with me how fantastic this place was!
I'm never in this part of town so I was sure to stop by since I was just a few miles away and so glad I did!
Service was fast and great people!
Plenty of places to sit outside to enjoy your eats.

This review is simply just for their Fruit Tart.

      O.M.G.

The absolute best fruit tart that I've ever had. I don't what kind of magic the French Oven puts in their baked goods, but whatever it is, gimme gimme gimme. The fruits they use are so sweet and fresh! The syrup that the fruit tart is covered in is amazing (just the perfect sweetness) and let's face it... the CRUST is where a lot of goodness happens lol. And the fruit tart crust at TFO is delicious. It says something when you have an amazing stack of fruit to eat but still very much look forward to eating the crust first.

I still have to try their other offerings here but when you got 1 dish that just does it right every single time, then it's already a winner in my book!

The BEST fruit tart I've ever had!

Great little neighborhood bakery. There are small tables for seating outside. Counter order and everything is fresh. We love this place!

Great place to meet up with friends for a coffee and pastry. Their salads, quiche, and sandwiches are good too. I've bought their pate, soups, and deviled eggs too. Cakes can be ordered online and they are delicious as well.

On Fridays, they have weekly pre-made dinners to go around $40 for 2. Order online or in store before Friday.

The wide variety and high quality of baked goodies that this place churns out is unbelievable. Service is prompt and seating is on the patio.

Man, what a delicious delicious almond croissant.

Came here to meet up and chat with a friend over coffee and some sweets. I brought my own coffee and decided to get my sweets to-go. It's a small little joint with parking out front, along with some outdoor patio tables (there's no seating inside).

They have a large assortment of pastries, tarts, as well as other items. I loved the almond croissant, but the lemon tart was a hard pass as it was 85% merengue and just a tiny bit of lemon. The unbalanced treat was severely lacking that quintessential lemon flavor. I ended up trying two more pastries but the almond croissant had me return for another visit, and again it was scrumptious.

They do sell those starbies style egg white bites, but I was taken back when the associate said, "we make them fresh every week"...EVERY WEEK!?!? I don't care for those pill looking egg bites, but if I did, I'd surely hope they're making them more than once a week.

The delicious almond croissant earned them an extra star.

      Cheers!

Tucked away in a residential area in a small plaza, you'll find The French Oven serving pastries and drinks to get your morning started.

There are a variety of baked goods, sandwiches, prepared meals (soups, salads, etc.) and drinks to choose from. I ordered the chocolate twist, fruit tart, croissant, croque madame, hazelnut latte and the monthly drink special, mocha matcha, to go. All the pastries were fresh and filling.

There are a few tables outside if you'd like to catch breakfast or brunch there, however there may be a line depending on when you go.

After a French colleague of mine highly recommended this place for authentic French patisseries, my son and I drove all the way from San Marcos one fine Saturday morning to this joint.

The ambiance of the bakery/cafe was amazing, let alone the smell of freshly baked goods

We ordered pear and apricots tarts with two cups of London Fog Tea... the tarts were unbelievable yummy, and the milk tea was perfect.

I also tried their beef sliders with potato salad before, again delicious!!

We also ordered eclairs, Tokyo cake slice, chocolate mousse with hazelnuts, and a marzipan tasting chocolate roll.. they all turned out to be sweeeet

Also, I ordered a jar of ratatouille to go.. tried it later at dinner time, it had big tangy sauce chunks of eggplant, zucchini, and other veggies!!

      Overall, great experience.. highly recommended

Great bakery, a little crowded on the weekend but worth the wait. You can order ahead and just pick up if you just want to be in and out,

Visited this bakery cafe today and was very pleased. Everyone is very nice and the cafe feels cozy. We ordered a strawberry tart, cookie and breakfast croissant. We were all very pleased with the flavor.

Went here for an impromptu brunch recently and had a great time. Perfect place for that post-hike meal or just a laid-back Sunday brunch/coffee.

Food & Drinks: My only complaint is the food could have been warmed up a bit, those sandwiches would have tasted so much better toasted. I got the curry chicken sandwich with tasted great minus the toasting. The coffee is superb and so are the croissants.

Service: You order everything at the counter which makes it so easy and then they bring the food to your table. Fast and friendly service.

Logistics: They have around 7-8 tables outside for seating and since most of the food is more of a quick bites situation, people get up fast so it's easy to find seating. They also have a good amount of parking in the plaza so that's not something to worry about.

In-all: I am definitely coming back even if it's for a quick to-go. Loved this place.
