The Gathering Place

Good home cooking prices reasonable. Friendly owners waitresses are very friendly. Basic accommodations nothing fancy.

Have eaten here twice for breakfast on a Saturday morning. I had eggs that were cooked perfectly, goetta and a biscuit and gravy and coffee. Everything tasted great and this place offers a lot of bang for the buck. Service was very attentive and friendly. Nice small town vibe.

When the locals suggest a place to eat, you can usually assume it's going to be a good one. The Gathering Place came highly recommended.

If you are not down for a small (maybe rough around the edges), plastic table cloth type restaurant, this is not the place for you. If you don't judge a book by it's cover, you'll enjoy the Gathering Place.

Pizza hoagie and breaded cauliflower are delicious.
Staff is friendly. What more could you ask for?

The staff were very nice. The prices were reasonable. The food was decent too. I got the ham steak dinner. The salad and roll were good. Too much gravy and the potatoes were obviously instant (which I have ZERO problem with BUT, there were several spots that were "hard" in them). My MAIN complaint is about the FLIES!! They were flying around us while trying to eat and at one point the server was "swatting" them around the restaurant as well. Kinda turned me off of the place a bit. But, that being said,if they got the flies under control,it is a cute little place!

Found this place while on a date with my beautiful wife.
We were headed to Stone Lick lake and we were a little hungry.
Stopped in and immediately acknowledged! The place has that mom and pop's place feel.
Something I had almost forgot about.
We were waited on by the sweetest lady who took our order.
We both got the double BLT and split some fries.
After I ordered, I noticed the board with the daily specials. Kinda wished I tried one, but I was not disappointed with what I got.
Big sandwiches with lots of real bacon and the fries were enough for both of us.
We will definitely go back for dinner.
I will advise the bathroom was very very small, but clean.
Try this place when you are at the lake.

We were out driving around and a local told us about this place. It looks rough from the outside and it's a small place but o my the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered fried mushrooms, a ham sandwich, a big mike which had 2 hamburger patties, and a pork chop sandwich and fries. Then for dessert we ordered the cinnamon toast crunch cake. Everything was delicious and just amazing. We absolutely without a doubt will be back.

Good breakfast place... good prices.

Breakfast served all day with the usual items. 2 eggs , meat and toast... $4.75

Best Breakfast around been here around five times and have never had a bad meal, not to many places have goetta around these parts,I will recommend this place to everyone.

Pretty good food if you get the biscuits and gravy, or one of their homemade desserts!
