Smooth, wonderful coffee. In middle of a long road trip (9+ hours), stopped in here today. Was so worth getting off the interstate a few minutes!! A much needed mental break. Clean bathroom. Really good coffee (Honey Lavender with whipped cream) and Breakfast BLT (croissant with fried egg & BLT). So good!! Helpful and kind staff. Plus it's great to support small business in small town USA. Thank you !

My second time in Wytheville with the Sprinter van and I love it because the city has set up power outlets across the street so that I was able to charge up the van's battery. And while doing that, I'm returning some to the local economy with coffee here.
The Grind has set up touch screen kiosks for ordering - like McDonald's - and you can customize your drink and food order without having to explain it to a human. When it arrived, the coffee was excellent and the service was great. I stayed here for about two hours with their great wifi.

Wanted to be able to leave a great review!
Tonight a friend and I drove half an hour out of our way to stop at The Grind. It turned out to be the town's Christmas festival and the block was hopping with activity. We arrived fifteen minutes before closing and the barista told us "I'm sorry - we are closing up for the night." I explained that we'd driven thirty minutes to get there and their hours listed them still open. The shop was abuzz with activity! She said, "sorry - we have lots of orders and it would take twenty minutes." Then when asked for a recommendation, we were told there were food trucks on the street. End of story. Another customer overheard and apologized outside the shop for how we were treated, suggesting S-bucks down the road. The thing is, we didn't want to support a corporate store that gives funding to immoral organizations - we wanted to support a small local business. And I get it - I've worked in coffee shops for years. It stinks to be busy at closing - yet it's our opportunity to take good care of customers. It seemed pretty poor customer service to refuse visitors on a night that was already hopping with activity - during open hours. We wish we'd had the opportunity to actually try the coffee! It seemed worth mentioning how it felt to an excited would-be customer.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Reed P.Washington, DC123May 9, 2023
Awesome little coffee shop on the main street in Wytheville! I stopped in town mostly only to see the giant pencil (it was down for repairs when I was there in Oct 2022) and decided to take a walk up and down Main Street. I found this gem and had a great coffee and bagel sitting at the tables outside. I was a little confused by the touchscreens at first, but they were easy to figure out. There was oat and almond for non-dairy milk, but I wish they had more vegan food options.

Cute, friendly, and great coffee...it's as simple as that. Also on a fun little Main Street of shops.

Friendly service, yummy lattes that taste better than Sbx. Great ambience- I like sitting at the high top table by an antique telephone.

The breakfast sandwiches were incredible and the coffee was top tier. We were passing through and stoped here as our only stop in the area. We weren't disappointed.

Good breakfast sandwiches. The ciabatta roll was fresh, but not quite authentic--a bit doughy, but it will do in rural SW Virginia.
The cold brew was good as well. Skip the chains.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
