Q:
Could I take a party of 6 here and have room or would it be tight?
A:
They have 1 or 2 tables that can seat 6. I would definitely suggest making a reservation.

Good food. Get the chowder.
Great service.
Cool looking place at the foot of Church Hill.
I often eat here when I work at my place up the hill. Lots of good solid comfort food.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 67101348Apr 16, 2024
I had a business meeting here and honestly I forgot the picture!
I had a blackened chicken wrap with sweet potato fries.
The fries were fresh and crispy and the wrap was delicious, packed with a wonderful tangy sauce .
The waitress was friendly and actually, what I'd ordered she'd recommended. Solid recommendation!
This place is quaint but cozy and has a nice ambiance. They have a bar and plenty of booths inside, as well as some outside seating.
I would recommend this place. Can't wait to return. Cheers!Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - 95299633Dec 28, 2023
Cute neighborhood cafe. Came here with a friend for lunch on a Friday. Loved the little 2 person booth where they say us. I ordered a Hill Burger medium and it was cooked perfectly. Served with nice hot side of fries. I ordered a burrito bowl with chicken to go to take for my husband. He enjoyed it but said he wouldn't get it with the chicken next time but would instead add a different protein. My friend had ordered that same dish with salmon and enjoyed it. I like the cozy feel of this place and will definitely come back.

Since moving close by, I've eaten many a meal at The Hill Cafe. The focus here is comfort food and everything is consistently wonderful and feeds your soul. The prices are also very reasonable and the service is stellar. My go to is the house salad and I like to add grilled salmon. The fried chicken is outstanding and the eggplant pasta are all incredible. Oh and the filet is outstanding and for $24 it's a steal!

Bustling restaurant serving a variety of favorites. I received my order having ordered it 10 minutes after everyone else in our party of 6.

The Hill
Met up with a friend for 'linner' lol. I ordered the crab cake sandwich w/sweet potato fries. Very good and it didn't feel like a heavy meal.
The cheesecake was...cheesecake. Good.
The service was good and fast.
This restaurant is good dining alone, with friends or a date.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jul 23, 2023
Cute place in church hill with southern fair, decent prices. I had the meatloaf with Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. The gravy was good, the meat was more like Swiss steak. Not far from St John's episcopal.

Came for an early dinner with a group of 5 ladies. This place is tiny - essentially one very narrow room. Close quarters for everyone! Love that there's a happy hour of $2 off each blue plate special from 4-6pm, but everything I sampled was just a little too salty and heavy. Would check it out again but probably try the sandwiches next time!

Cute little place - stopped in after some errands when visiting my sister the other day
I don't remember what she had, but I ordered the Shrimp and Grits and DANG that was good! I order it whenever I see it on the menu and I allllmost want to say it's the best Shrimp & Grits that I've ever had!
The wait staff was friendly and helpful. We sat outside, so I don't really have anything exciting to say to help you with what it looked like on the inside. Although, if Shrimp and Grits stays on their menu, it's a good chance that I'll visit again next time I'm in town!
Thanks for reading my review.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Apr 27, 2016Previous reviewFirst time visit. Went with my sister and a friend.
Their homemade chips are outstanding, and I'm not usually one for chips.
Decent beer list, but I do hate it when they list Ciders with the Beers. Are there really that many people that consider them similar? No one I know...
In addition to the chips appetizer, our entrees were a pasta dish, crab cakes, and their Wednesday crab cake/filet Mignon special. Overall everything was tasty. The pasta was a little overcooked but tasted fine according g to my girlfriend. The crab cakes had flavor but had more breading than I like. I ordered a Medium Rare filet, which came out Medium Well almost Well. The waitress was super nice when I pointed it out and took it right back to the kitchen. She brought my crab cake back out to me so that i could eat it while I waited, which was awesome. Take #2 was cooked perfectly. And pretty darned good (although I was surprised that it came out on a tiny 4" square dish the second time, along with the mashed potatoes on it... Made for an adventure in cutting the meat without spilling the gravy and potatoes)
Loved the waitress. Atmosphere is comfortable, nothing fancy. Parking was street and we didn't have a problem finding a spot.
I'd go again.
