If you're looking for a breakfast spot in Ortaköy with a beautiful waterside view, this is a solid choice.
While there are both indoor and outdoor seating areas, the outdoor seating has my vote as it is right up against the edge of the water, and it's such a lovely experience in the daytime. We were seated quickly and the servers were very hospitable throughout our breakfast.
The two-person platter that filled the entirety of our table was very filling and a great choice to get a little bit of everything. Altogether, the food was of okay quality, the variety definitely took it up a notch and fit the ambiance of the location. For me, the latte was not anything particularly special.
If you're visiting Ortaköy, it's a great idea to stop by here for breakfast or brunch.Helpful 3Thanks 2Love this 2Oh no 0 - 01311Oct 2, 2022
Do not recommend. Looks can be deceiving! Burgers are horrible . However the drinks are good and service is great. Just not a place to eat.

It's hard to beat the view at the House Café. You can peer out at the water of the boss for us and watch the ships go by. Located in Ortakoy and near the Radisson Blu, it's a decent restaurant with a variety of options. Hugely popular among the Turks.
For lunch, I had the avocado Halum cheese salad and shared the mushroom pizza. All tasty!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sheri C.Minneapolis, MN1895091449Apr 18, 2019
Went here my first night in Istanbul at the recommendation of my concierge at the Ritz Carlton (Pelin). This place was great! It is on the Bosphorous, there is outdoor seating, and you have an immaculate view of the bridge from the back of the restaurant.
Prices were very reasonable, and the menemen was delicious!!! I cannot wait to visit this place again on my next visit.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Hans B.Fairfax, VA468103May 15, 2018
Awesome looking drinks and view. Alcohol content in cocktails is questionable however. Very weak drinks.
In conclusion, the location and ambiance are what you are paying. Nevertheless I believe for what they charge they ought to make stronger drinks.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Aakriti A.Claremont, CA5116Sep 2, 2019
Overhyped place, the food is mediocre and overpriced, the service is even worse. We'd hoped to have a nice family breakfast, but the place was just so crowded. And for being in an upscale area, they didn't even have fans!! The servers were rude, and didn't care. We had to go and get drinks ourselves because even after asking thrice no one showed up with our order.
The food was low quality. The eggs were cold, the sandwiches sound good but the reality is far from expected. when we ordered a cheesecake, it was warm as if it had been left out in the sun for too long.
A lot of people go there for the view, but it's not worth it. The tables there don't have fans, so you'll be burning up while you wait for the food or hopefully a server to show up. You'll be better going on a boat cruise.
For being in a nice area, I'd expected better service and food quality. There are much better places to go in Istanbul.....I'd rather buy a simit from a street vendor!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Peter B.Holden, MA052Aug 11, 2018
They gave our group of English speakers a menu with lower prices to order from, and then at the time to pay, they spiked the prices. All the managers spoke English, but when we disputed this and showed they pictures of the menu, they acted like they didn't understand us. Next time, go to any other restaurant on the Bosphorus.
They're trying to make a quick lira off visitors. Don't go here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Can I.Pawtucket, RI11111112Jul 16, 2019
Great location. Spacious and comfortable with outdoor seating. Might be a bit expensive but definitely worth it. Not very crowded so you can actually sit and relax and reenergize. Chestnut cake is amazing. Highly recommended.

Love this place!!! Stayed next door at house hotel and we went everyday during our stay. Such an awesome place to have drinks and everything on the menu is very good. The views at sunset are fabulous!! I love the mixed crowd...young, old, trendy, not so trendy, dressy, casual, couples, families... The whole scene just works!! It's a must!!!

Great atmosphere and very attentive staff! The view was incredible. Great food, though a little expensive for Istanbul.
