Second day being open. Only giving three stars because the kinks are still being worked out.
Restaurant opened late today. Normal opening hour is 11:00 a.m., but today they didn't open until a little after noon. We weren't the only folks waiting outside. There are two high top tables, two tables that could be sat community style and an "on the floor" eating area.
I'm not sure if the man working was the owner, but he was very nice. Took time to explain the menu and let us know that there were a number of items that weren't available today - kabobs being one of them.
The beef was tender and flavorful. I've never had rice with raisins mixed in, but I liked the touch of sweetness it added to the dish. The side salad added a refreshing element.
We did have to ask for water about half way through our meal, but no big deal. He was apologetic for forgetting.
You can clearly tell that they just opened and didn't account for how busy they were going to be. Minus the few kinks, I will definitely return! Looking forward to trying the other menu items.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Eric B.Columbia, PA5368107Aug 10, 2019
This place is fairly new in town. Never have eaten and enjoyed Persian food specifically. So, take my review as from a novice. I have a pretty widely-traveled palate with cuisines in general though.
My platter and bowl were great. I ordered the Double Onion Beef Stew and it was deeply flavorful and delicious. The Kabuli rice was really good. Serving size was super generous.
Get some cardamom tea with your meal.
The restaurant is small in size with a couple of long tables. Looks to be a family run place. BYOB OK (we checked before popping our Belgian open and the cork literally popped off the bottle and hit the ceiling like a rocket. That was funny).
I am hoping places like this in Lancaster City prosper with all the upscaling going on. The price of the food is very reasonable and in a town where rents are going up, I hope it can find a devoted and loyal patron base.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jen P.Gordonville, PA123158756Sep 7, 2019
Interesting mom-and-pop shop type of atmosphere. The owners are hands-on it appears.
I loved the rice and spiced veggies as sides. My food was good. I ordered a vegan platter which had falafel. My husband ordered the tikka lamb kabob platter, and his favorite thing was the souvlaki sauce. They give huge portions. You'll feel like exploding if you eat it all.
The falafel was a bit dry and felt very heavy. I wish there was a vegan souvlaki sauce to compliment the vegan dish. I'm just thrilled they had options for vegans. They had sold out of the hummus. The Turkish coffee is very strong and served with cardamom.
I'd love to go back to try the hummus.
It's an exciting, affordable option in Lancaster. For two large entrees and a Turkish coffee and bottle of water it was $35.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lorraine D.Chester County, PA045May 24, 2021
We came upon Kabob Station a few months pre-covid and finally made it back again. Food was excellent both times, fresh ingredients and authentic flavor. I really enjoyed the Zareshk polo rice! Lamb kabobs were delicious and lentils had great seasoning. Falafel and hummus were fresh and flavorful.

We have ordered twice and picked up due to covid. My boyfriend got their Uzbeki pallow and has tried the Qurma which are Lamb and goat. He loved both. I have enjoyed their hummus and chicken platters. I would definitely recommend trying it out. You also get a great amount of food. With the money!

This place has THE BEST RICE I have ever eaten - I get the vegetable biryani. So far we've gotten the lamb shawarma doner sandwich, the chicken doner sandwich, the lamb gyro over rice, the chicken stew, and the vegetarian plate. Oh! And the vegetable samosas. I would recommend them all - seriously SO GOOD.

I was in Lancaster and was looking for something to eat and seen this place. It's reviews were decent and the food pictured looked good. I ordered the shrimp Kababs and by the description it sounded like it was going to be so good. I didn't get any grilled onions or peppers, my shrimp were like jerky/over cooked. There was also hair on my bread. I was so sad because I was so hungry and I had so much hope. The rice was good and the yogurt sauce was good as well. It seemed like the flavors where they I just couldn't get past the negatives. There was a also very small salad with lettuce, tomato and cucumber. The owners were nice though. Answered my questions and just had a nice demeanor. I don't think this would be my food choice to try again.
