The Old Dairy provides excellent food, in a clean environment, served by the friendliest staff. We have overstuffed chairs where you can relax, study, read your favorite book, or play games with your friends. We have a full breakfast menu that is available ALL DAY which includes fresh omelets, biscuits and gravy, eggs to order, homemade muffins, grilled cinnamon rolls, and much more. Lunch consists of a variety of sandwiches, fresh salads, and homemade soups. Some sandwiches are grilled on the panini. Come and relax with a bottomless cup of our exclusive blend of coffee. We also have a full service coffee bar to tame the espresso lover. Our pies are made from scratch: Apple, Coconut Creme, Vanilla, Caramel Apple Upside Down....just to name a few. Pies are available by the slice or whole. We also have homemade cookies, cakes, brownies. All of our desserts are available for bulk purchase. We serve Blue Bunny Ice Cream.

78235480Feb 25, 2024Updated review2 check-insCrab cake Friday is my favorite day. I love the crab cakes here. I like just coming in and hanging out and working on my tablet and people watch. The cookie dough brownies are a must also.

Oh no 0Feb 4, 2018Previous reviewI've been back twice recently, both times to get the crab cakes (I know, I'm obsessed). Once with my mom, and everything was excellent...food, service...everything. Second time, I came by myself. I'm always a little self conscious eating alone and feel like everyone is watching me, but the staff was pleasant. The guy that waited on me was friendly and started a conversation. The young woman that brought out my order and picked up the dishes when I was finished was very polite. I'm really enjoying the atmosphere here and look forward to coming and spending more time here.

I remember ordering a salad and not being too thrilled with it...it was the oriental chicken salad if I remember correctly. It was kinda dry, not enough dressing.
There was another occasion where I'd ordered a mocha and it was almost undrinkable. The girl making it sounded inexperienced and I didn't want to embarrass or discourage her, so I just took the drink out with me.
I've also had the milkshakes. They were decent, but nothing to write home about.
The most recent visit I'd come with a friend to have lunch and just hang out and read for a bit. I'd ordered the crab cake special with a salad and was very excited about it. 45 minutes later, I still didn't have my order. I noticed another woman come in and order the same thing and got her order within 10 minutes, so I went back to the counter and asked about my order. It seems the girl at the register didn't put my order in. After I'd said something, they were very quick to get the food out to me and it was delicious. They were very apologetic about the mishap and I appreciated it, however they could have offered something to help make up for it.- James W.IL, IL020Feb 10, 2024Updated review

grilled cinnamon roll awesome if you ask extra crispy bacon it crispy crunchy excellent this staff has not one time disappointed me friendly you speak them they speak you always a smile if you never gone and like breakfast should go coffee always fresh hope have 2024 like 2023 thank you staff

What I like about this restaurant is that it serves delicious food with a unique style! I always experience something new there!

I had breakfast at the Old Dairy a few weeks ago when I was in town with family. It was an okay breakfast and had some vintage diner-y charm inside. The breakfast menu doesn't have a simple eggs with meat and toast or hash browns, but I was able to make that my ordering three items a la carte. You order at the counter, and they bring it out to you. Fine breakfast. Liked the mural on the exterior wall outside.
