I was pleasantly surprised by The Pita House! It didn't look like much from the outside, and it still didn't look like much once I walked in. But that's just part of the charm.

The food here was great, it felt like a meat eater's paradise. The shawarma had marinated beef that was well seasoned and full of flavor. It was also really tender, and went well in both a sandwich and on a salad.

Definitely a good option for Middle Eastern food in this busy part of King Street!

      I love love this spot!
I always stop here when I'm starving and don't want to chance it and in Old Town, VA.

The food is good, the plates have good size portions and the Lebanese White Wine is fantastic.

The restaurant is not fancy, but clean with nice ambiance. I personally like to sit outside and people watch; especially in the late evening. Lots of action n the heart of King Street.

The service is great, the food comes it very fast and the price tag is very affordable for Old Town. I always order an appetizer and can never finish it.

Consistent good food, great location, great service and the food is not overpriced which is hard to find in Old Town.

Meh...it was ok. Food was mediocre. Had the falafel patties and chicken shawarma. Service was fast and prompt, but it was a slow night and the cook staff must've been holding a laughing hour. I heard nonstop carrying on the entire time. Shawarma was cooked well but just didn't have good flavor. Falafel was brown inside instead of green. I'd eat this again if I was super hungry, but it wouldn't be my first choice. The restaurant was clean but empty. Again..meh...

I was walking around Old Town and needed to stop by somewhere to grab dinner. I like Middle Eastern cuisine so I decided to give The Pita House a try for takeout. The server was quick to attend to me, and gave me a menu to look at. I was offered a glass of water which took me by surprise, I felt welcomed. They have enough seats inside if you decide to dine-in.

I ordered the Makanek pita sandwich with French fries. Makanek is a beef sausage with herbs and spices. It was delicious, you can taste the lemon and other tasty herbs/spices together. The fries seem homemade and weren't salty which made me happy. They seasoned it well with black pepper. Overall if you're in the area, try The Pita House.

Food was light and tasty, we had lunch on our way home, our group had the Falafel sandwich, gyro sandwich, grape leaves, souvlaki sandwich. All were very good, service was courteous and quick.
Ambience was simple, but nice, bathrooms needed more light, and needed to be cleaned

Small serving size, slow service and poor experience. We won't be back. We tried to be nice to the server when trying to ask for more water, but he still was hard to find. There were only 3 parties, but still empty glasses.

I usually take pictures of my food but when I tell you that I ate this food so fast because it looked and smelled so good that I didn't even think of taking a picture of it. The food here was amazing like... Amazing. I cleared my plate entirely which I rarely do at restaurants. The service was also super friendly and it is a nice fancy restaurant if you want to sit down for a nice dinner.

Food was really good!! What was disappointing is the service. I had gone for lunch for a friend's birthday , he was not attentive it was our first time there and I asked what do you recommend he said everything is home made so you pick what you like . There were 2 other customers and the food took 40 minutes for the appetizer to come out which was only pita bread and hummus the waiter didn't give us silverware until the entree came out . Food overall was great but they really need on work in customer service .

Rather disappointing for me, but perhaps it was just my order.

Brought the eggplant and chickpea meal, The food was extremely greasy and lacking in flavor. It was so drenched in grease that I could not eat it. I picked out a little, and I'm suffering through heartburn as a result.

I will say the pita bread and tzatziki sauce that accompanied the meal was extremely tasty, and I was able to fill up mostly on that.

This was especially disappointing as I had recently moved to the area and walked past the restaurant 10 to 15 times expecting something good. Customer service was pretty good, the people were friendly. It seems that they're used to not having many customers, because they were a little surprised to see me walk in tonight at 8:45 PM. Just one other customer was in the building at the time, I almost thought they were closed.

Wow! Talk about a flavor profile! The Pita House has so much to offer and at such great prices. This family owned business has a great selection of traditional Lebanese/Middle Eastern dishes. The service was friendly and offered lots of suggestions from the menu. I settled on the Fatteh Blahmeh which consisted of lamb, rice, yogurt, almonds and crispy pita. It was a great mix of well seasoned and tender meat, soft rice and garlicy yogurt. I'll definitely be back to try more options, and to taste their authentic desserts!!
