About the Business
Established in 1810. Harlington was listed in Doomsday Book, 1086. Back then it was a village of 28 household, comprising sixteen villagers, eight cottagers, two smallholders, a priest and a slave. The White Hart became a popular pub name in medieval times, coinciding with the beginning of Richard II's reign in 1377, it was the monarch's heraldic symbol and he ensured all members of his household wore the device. It was a sound move on the part of tavern keepers to show their allegiance by displaying it. The oldest part of the present pub was built in 1810, as an old wall plaque confirms. An extension to the right had end with a timbered gable was added in the 1920s. A further similar extension was added in the 1970s. the pub car park used to be an orchard. The story foes that, early in the last century, a member of pub staff by name of Annie sadly fell to her death down the cellar stairs. Her ghost said to haunt the pub to this day.

Stopped by for Sunday Gravy after an overnight stop in London. British pub food is a novelty to me and this was quite enjoyable. Fish and chips of this quality is hard to find in the States. The Vegetarian Wellington was outstanding.
Great staff was very helpful and went out of the way to step through the specials.
Customers were mostly local -- so you know the food is not specially for tourists.
Looking forward to stopping by again!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Florence K.Boston, MA156110Apr 21, 2024
Came for a Sunday roast right before heading to the airport. Their Sunday roast is typically available at 2:30pm but I explained my situation and they were able to serve the full Sunday roast by 11:30am, which we really appreciated!
I got the mixed plate, which included pork, beef, and chicken. Overall, I'm glad I tried the Sunday roast. The gravy and potatoes complimented the dish well but was not a fan of the vegetables because it was a bitter and the pork was a little bit dry.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 3423411323Mar 28, 20241 check-in
Whenever I have a morning flight out of Heathrow, I always stay at an airport hotel but I have never ventured out to try a pub in the area but on this last occasion, some friends who live not far from Heathrow, picked me up and went to The White Hart, right down the road from my hotel.
This is a great traditional 200 year old pub bursting with character and enchanting atmosphere with a menu to satisfy any palate and of course a full bar to accommodate those that suffer from thirst.
For my lite evening snack, I ordered the Salmon Wellington that came with mashed potatoes and greens with a creamy white wine sauce and a ginger beer.
Aidan and his family had lived in Austin, TX for 5 years and he ordered the Slow cooked smoked BBQ ribs.
This definitely will not be my last visit to The White Hart as I must return to try those BBQ ribs and accompany it with a beverage with authority.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 14, 2023
We ate here the night before we flew back to the States after our epic trip around the UK. We loved the pub food and the atmosphere was phenomenal. The hard cider, the meals and our time to relax and decompress here made it great. They have a nice area of outdoor seating.

Like another reviewer had indicated, we had intended to go to another highly rated pub nearby, but they had an 18+ age requirement. So we stumbled upon the White Hart. No regrets as the food was delicious and the service was superb! Our party of 8 ordered everything from fish and chips to ribs to my personal favorite, chicken and leek pie. This was our last dinner in London and it did not disappoint!

We stopped by The White Hart un-expectantly as the place we intended to have dinner with at was 18 and up and we have 2 teenage children. We were told to check out The White Hart by the restaurants staff and were very grateful for the recommendation!
We were in the search for traditional British food and we were very happy with what The White Hart had to offer. We had the fish and chips, the steak and ale pie and both were delicious.
The atmosphere was so cozy and warm, and the staff is so friendly. We are so grateful for their kindness and delicious food. We hope to visit London again some day and will make a point to visit The White Hart again.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 21, 2022
Didn't have their food, but the bartender is super nice and knows how to pour a proper pint. Very knowledgeable about cask beers as well and showed me how they finish out the last 20% of the fermentation process. He even gave me a glass pint to keep after talking with him for a little bit. You can't buy love like that.
