I do think this has to be my last time here. I've probably said this before to friends because it's always something with them even when it's not my own account of the situation.

However...on to my issues tonight:

Between them trying to make my mom pay for the entire reservation before everyone arrived (even though the website says "parties of ten or more must pay in advance" and we have six coming, the owner says that is just a suggestion and he expected her to hand him $72) to not allowing my aunt to have a new drink even though the one they gave her tastes like "red juice." (Red juice is the kind n the gallon container for like $0.99 that's really only acceptable at children's parties and church basements.)

Then being told I cannot just have a glass of water after spending $12 to get in and $20 plus tip on food and drinks. I like tap water over bottled water when it's an option. And seeing as they should have a working sink, a glass of ice water should be an option.

THEN being told by the server she recognizes me and every time I'm in here there's a problem (as she motions her hands to say I yap my mouth). *clutches my gold chain* I have been here maybe 2-3 times and each time with family, of which I'm with now...none of us recall such incidents taking place. DO NOT MAKE ME SHOW YOU WHAT ACTING OUT LOOKS LIKE.

I hope I don't get invited to another event here. I want to support my people but I can't when you don't know how to be a businessman. I'm only giving it two stars over one because my friends and family keep performing here. So that extra star is for them.

Fantastic venue. Great house band, nice Whiskey selection, delicious food.
Cozy entertainment venue with a great bar and excellent acoustics.

I've been making reservations and patronizing this business since it first opened. Now today the owner claims the full number of reservations must be paid for at the door. I won't be making multiple reservations any more.

Today's event is supposed to be a happy hour with food from 5-7 with the main show at 7. Why is there NO food ready and it's 6pm?

The venue is great and the entertainment is always on point and I would love to give 5 stars..I just can't.

So, I struggled with my rating for this place, because I wanted to give a higher one just because this place does fill a void in the StL Nightlife scene. That being said, the employees are just not friendly. On all the occasions I've been here, I have not received friendly service at the bar. If it wasn't for the music being good when I do visit, I wouldn't.

Booked this space for a friend's birthday. I was allowed to come see it beforehand. It's very nice inside. Had an option to have a Dj provided, we did. Played mostly jazz and rnb. We were allowed to bring food. All in all everything went smooth. My friend was satisfied.

We were not able to stay because we didn't meet the dress code. We stood by the door & listened for a few minutes. Take my review lightly. I've never listened to jazz music and I had my 6, 8, and 10 year old with me who wanted to know what jazz music is. We drove by and they read the sign. We pulled over & walked right in. From my novice perspective the music was terrific & I love that they have a dress code to keep it classy so we were not upset that we couldn't stay. The kids are excited to go back all dressed up to listen to jazz music and sip on sprite.

The music here was great. I went on a Friday and Tim and the group did an excellent job of entertaining with smooth jazz and some jazzy takes on current pop songs. The atmosphere is nice, but I feel like it is only 80% professional. The bar has a nice selection of liquors, but the drinks could stand some polishing. Food, even no cooking required bar snacks would be nice, since there is a two drink minimum. I feel like with a few tweaks this place could be great.

Perfect date night atmosphere or a night out on the town with the ladies! Eat before you come because the drinks are excellent and worth every penny!

Horrible HORRIBLE establishmen!!!! We reserved a group for my inlaws birthday and right when we got to the door the short man at the door told us it would be difficult to accomodate AFTER we reserved and paid. Then they said they ran out of food at 830pm...who does that?? My brother arrived after me and had no idea where to go becuase no one was at the front...so he comes towards our group and gets stopped by the same short guy in front. Instead of asking how he could help him he asked my brother if he knew how to read. I try to support local establishments especially when they are minority owned but I will not tolerate disrespect. Overall my experience was way below subpar and I am never coming back.

Good jazz... Bad business. Signed up to email list last time in. Got an email for $5 cover for Friday night show, 8-11pm. Arrived at 10pm and got charged $10 a piece. Asked and they made up some story about special cover until 10 only. Showed them the email. They still would not refund the cover. Cost us an unexpected extra $20 for our in laws' 39th anniversary... Not very customer friendly.
