Tasty house made pasta

My wife and I were recently staying in Galax and were in need of a tasty dinner. We were staying at The Doctor's Inn B&B and were referred to Twisted Fork; I had read some of the reviews online earlier. When I learned that they actually make their pasta themselves, I felt that we should try them out.

It's a small restaurant, but with nice folks to greet you when you walk in, and they treat you right during your meal. I had wanted to try the Ravioli, but was told that they did not make the Ravioli themselves. That being the case, my wife and I both tried the Tortellini which was made in house; I had the Beef Tortellini and my wife had the Cheese Tortellini. The Tortellini was quite good and blended with the sauce nicely.

I'm not sure about you, but there are so many big national chains out there, that when I can get house made pasta and support a local restaurant, it's time to "break the chain" and get the good stuff. Knowing the pasta was not "store bought" made it taste even better for me. Oh, the pasta was quite good and worth it to support a local restaurant.

If you're in town, or just passing through, and want some good food served with a smile - and don't want your dinner from a national chain - give Twisted Fork a try. We're glad we did.

What a cool place. The menu looks so yummy. Reading it definitely will give you an appetite. It's creative an out-of-the-box thinking. Our server Krista was a jam. Very attentive and knowledgeable.

The twisted fork is an absolute delight reservations are recommended ad it gets crowded quickly and for good reason! Pastas are all homemade, sauces as well! Farm fresh resources,small bar,decent prices,great atmosphere,great wine list, great artistian craft be on draft you won't be disappointed

I've been to this, the best restaurant in the area many times and have never, ever received anything but stellar food and service! I don't get the couple of bad reviews. The Chef works hard to perfect each plate and the taste and quality of the food is superb.
They have turned a dull, run down part of downtown Galax into a bright and bubbly real, honest to God restaurant.

Fresh in house made pasta! Try the chicken bacon carbonara with spinach pasta! Pair it with the Greek salad and fresh garlic bread!! I can hardly wait to try the tiramisu!! Great portions and very friendly staff!! I would make the four hour drive for this pasta again!!
The tiramisu is the best I've ever tasted!! And I've been to Italy twice!!!

I loved this place. Downtown Galax with a yellow door. Sweet place - much bigger than I thought. Bar is in the middle of the restaurant - private area. Decor is upscale. I sat at the bar. The bartender offered amazing service. She was friendly and knowledgeable. My food was delicious. I had the tomato soup and a grilled cheese on naan bread. It was well prepared and the presentation was nice. Good - really good tomato soup is hard to find. I loved the texture of the grilled cheese. Complimented each other well. Definitely recommend this place. Prices are good too.

Went there with friends and the place was very nice. Each of us ordered something different. My friends had the flat iron steak and spaghetti with the sausage. Bother rave about the taste. My husband had spaghetti with meat balls and I had the lasagna. The spaghetti was good, But the lasagna left a lot to be desired.
Would definitely give them another chance but with a different dish.

I stumbled upon this place while traveling. It is SO worth the 10 minute drive off of I-77. House made pastas, gravy (sauces), salad dressings and desserts. An attentive staff in a relaxed atmosphere.

I shouldn't even give this place one star. Terrible staff and one TERRIBLE owner. You want food that tastes like last weeks trash? Help yourself. You want management that clearly has little to no professionalism when there is an error with your food? HELP YOURSELF.

I'm very scared for the people that work under the management at this establishment. To have your waitress apologize for how childish their manager is goes to show what kind of place this is. Twisted business oh excuse me, Twisted Fork will never receive my business ever again!!!!

I originally thought this was a fine establishment when I first visited but upon this visit I saw how the poor management addresses their staff. I was amazed at the i unprofessionalism of the owner. I witnessed how her loud obnoxious behavior toward another table.

The owner literally got into the face of a customer at another table and harshly harassed the customers. The staff appears to be indirect fear of the owner and her actions. I recommend to anyone to not visit this restaurant unless you want a harassment experience from owner.
