Kim O.Los Angeles, CA20113Jan 26, 2020I LOVE Vanessa Manel Skin Care & Beauty! I highly recommend the talented and supportive staff, the excellent treatments; the bright, calm atmosphere, and the thoughtfully selected products.
I get my lashes done either by Vanessa or Andrea and ALWAYS get compliments on how gorgeous they are but also, how natural looking! I also get my lower lashes dyed as well. I have to do a lot of evening presentations where I have to look polished, put together and subtly "glam" but I'm always running out the door so I depend on Vanessa and Andrea to keep me ready to meet the public.
I go to Vanessa and Jessica for skin care and again, the care is top-notch! Always great suggestions for what my skin needs at the time; they will suggest new products (**Purple Goat**, Ajara, PCA -- all wonderful!) and the sessions are so relaxing. I always fall asleep!
I've gotten one back facial from Jessica and the exfoliation and massage are great!
Finally, Liz has done my makeup for a wedding and a photo shoot and is great; she is the queen of the smokey eye!

LC R.Glendale, CA24577Dec 16, 2021Five stars for all my previous appointments, I just want to report that the studio isn't owned by Vanessa Manel anymore.
This studio closed but there is another person/people renting the space that has the client list. It's no longer Vanessa Manel. I still got the same text appointment updates as I previously did with Vanessa Manel and only found out it was a new studio when I showed up. The technician there was polite and let me leave since I wasn't comfortable.

The owner took care of the small bump in our communication and refunded the last treatment. She is very professional and easy to reach. I recommend this place for all of your skin needs.

It's one thing to impress a client with a five-star experience during the first visit, it's a whole other thing to maintain that experience for another visit, especially with a different staff member.
After having a great microcurrent facial experience with Vanessa, I came back for more. My skin needed extractions, so I was looking for relief. Vanessa was out of town, so I met with a different esthetician, Jessica. She was friendly and skillful, especially when it cant to the microcurrent part. However, prior to doing the microcurrent treatment, she only did a few gentle extractions, then said she'll do some more after the microcurrent. That seemed unusual to me, but I trusted her saying that the microcurrent gel would let the pores open up more for Extractions Part II.
Except, there wasn't a Part II. Jessica told me I have a good skin and my pores are too small to do more extractions than they few that she did already. Again, I was surprised but trusted her.
The facial was $150 and I left her a $30 tip.
Next day, during the morning skincare routine I felt all those bumps that needed extractions. It was upsetting. What exactly did I pay $180 for? Poor extractions is my pet peeve. That's what most of us go get a facial for, we can apply a mask at home ourselves!
I emailed Vanessa voicing my concern. She is very professional, like, incredibly so. It's nice to deal with but sometimes feels like you can't get to the living, breathing person behind that demeanor.
She sent me a $10 store credit and said: "I will meet with Jessica - who is an incredibly valued and talented esthetician on our team - and dig in a little deeper on extraction expectations on the facials."
Look, I'm glad she values her employees. But that $10 is a portion of the tip I left.
I had to go back to Lemaje Skincare for a "real" facial instead of the one at Vanessa Manel's.
Needless to say, I'm not coming back for a facial here. Just for the microcurrent. Everyone's a loser, I guess.Jul 12, 2019Previous reviewSeriously impressed with the quality of my facial and the level of professionalism of this place -- and its only a few minutes from home!
Came in for a Renewing Facial with Microcurrent Toning. Have to say, the microcurrent machine Vanessa used on me is the most effective one I've ever experienced -- and I've had both NuFace and Remodeling Face Machine by Biologique Recherche. Vanessa's machine, the brand called Stay Young, didn't only tone my face and improved my look but worked my TMJ muscles, releasing a lot of tension: what a bonus!
Vanessa has great hands; her extractions are thorough and she's a true artist when it comes to mixing and matching what your skin needs today.
I cannot wait to make another appointment -- that facial is a great bang for your buck!

Rosette is knowledgeable, attentive, sweet and always on time! I go to her for facial toning and light mask and she never disappoints! My face feels less tight and so much younger!
Jessica Gives me my facials and peels and I love how i look and feel after each visit!! She's sweet, knows her stuff and goes above and beyond to make sure I'm happy!
Rosette and Jessica keep me looking younger than I should! She's not only sweet, but knowledgeable:) My daughter and I get our brows done with her. Additionally I love her facials! She mixes it up each time I go, and I leave feeling years younger! She always knows what my skin needs and never fails to amaze!
She also carries great products and although she never pushes any on me, they sell themselves!

I recently went to see Jess for a dermaplane treatment, which was a pretty life-changing treatment, and Jess is a total pro. I highly recommend Jess, Vanessa, and the whole salon for any skincare treatment!

She is incredibly knowledgeable about all things beauty, and will go the lengths to make sure every product she uses is just right for your skin. Her new place is wonderful - very bright and clean and open. Her services are incredible, yet affordable, and all of the new products in her store are fantastic!

Vanessa did a beautiful job on my first lash extension application! She was also a wonderful person to talk to. Unfortunately, I moved to the other side of town, but if I'm even back in Eagle Rock, she's who I'd go to. Her shop is beautiful and clean and there is usually easy parking.

Not only is she an expert at lashes, she is a skin care magician as well. The attention to detail, her calm demeanor, the beautiful and cozily inviting salon, the great products, the amazing, super-friendly, helpful and lovely staff!
