I am very disappointed with this company. This morning there was a raccoon in the trap they set, kudos to them for getting it trapped. We emailed them in the morning to let them know in hopes they would be out to get it. I called at 1:30 when I realized the raccoon was still in the trap. They assured me they would let the tech know. It is 3:30 and they still are not out. It is 87 degrees out and humid. I realize I asked for this animal to be trapped but in a humane way. I am upset that it is suffering.

These guys are great - they come and keep the darn bugs out of my house. Living do close to a river you depend on a service to keep the buggies under control. They do well and technicians have always been kind to me.

They send a technician to your area and that is who you work with. They changed territories recently, and I am on my second technician. Both have done good work. I haven't had with results. Any issue I have heard, they've taken care of. They are knowledgeable and do quality work. They took care of carpenter bees, stink bugs, and everything else. There are extra charges for removing birds nests in that sort of thing. Not unexpected.I have always been very happy with my service. In fact, I plan to call today to schedule my next appointment.

We had a chipmunk problem and required some help removing them from our land. Our experiences with using Varment Guard were pretty poor. There was limited feedback when they came and changed out traps - only twice did we receive fliers and we told we would get daily feedback when they came out. The number and types of traps changed often throughout the trapping period for no noticeable reason either. We were additionally charged for a trap that was "lost or stolen" and we never saw the said trap in place even though I went around the house looking for trap placements that first day. Additional traps placed in the same location were neither lost nor stolen.

I have never used or recommened your company. I never will, based on one of your employee's driving abilities this morning in Lakeville, MN. Your employee was driving in a company vehicle with your brand name all over it. He was a younger man heading East on 185th. He decided that it would be a great idea to switch 2 lanes of traffic and then into the right turn clover leaf entrance to I-35N. Almost taking my front end of my vehicle off while I had my 4 year old daughter in the back seat. I had to slam on my breaks and fully engage the horn for a few seconds. Cutting people off is very dangerous! He came to a complete stop and merged over to the lane to the left and let me pass. He seemed to be a bit of a smartass. Check your employee's driving skills and make sure they understand that they are representing a brand. This occurred about 7:40AM on May 4th, 2018.

We have experienced several problems with this company. They did what they said they would do however the experience working with them was terrible for us. I recommend not working with this company in any capacity.
Details: Initially we called for a quote and asked to move forward with services. We were told someone would come out to the house and initiate services. After a week of no calls and no one arriving we followed up with them. They told us the price is now $100 higher and asked us if we still wanted someone to come out. The were not willing to honor their original quote. We requested to speak with a manager and were told "I will speak to the manager for you". We called back a few days later and asked for a manager and were connected to a voice mail. We were not called back so after a few days we called again and customer service was less than professional. After nearly 3 weeks of phone calls and V/M's we finally got to the manager. The conversation with the manager was awkward and stressful. It felt like he didn't believe us and was reluctant to agree to honor their original quote, however after a long negotiation he did.
Services were rendered however during the services the representative was less than professional and it was awkward to work with him. At one point the squirrel trap caught a baby raccoon around 7AM. It freaked out and ripped the trap off the roof and fell about 14 feet to the ground. We called the office right away but it took them about 10 hours to arrive to deal with the trapped raccoon. I'm not sure it survived being sideways in a small trap - it wan't moving or responding to noise near the end of the day.
They offered to patch the hole in the side of the roof but it took three weeks before they started. We had been calling multiple times to set up a time that worked for us but there were no responses. Finally they they did come out unannounced at the same time a photographer was taking pictures of the house because we were selling it. At one point we asked him to move the latter for 3 minutes so the photographer could get a picture of the house but we received arguments back as to why he didn't have time to do that. After a 2nd request he finally and reluctantly agreed.
For some reason they never billed our card and then all of a sudden a few months later we received a communication - a complaint suggesting "we didn't pay on time". All the while they had our credit card number and hadn't communicated any other request for payment. We had forgotten about the bill and moved on. We had mice in our house and when we discovered them -- we trapped 3 mice in just a few hours. YUCK! When we called Varment Guard, they were helpful, fast and very easy to work with. They did not dismiss my fears and gave me confidence they would take care of the problem. Not only did they remove the mice, we had a hole in our garage that they filled to stop them from coming back. Our house has been mouse free since and...I am happy to report that I am no longer afraid to walk into our basement! :) Thank you!!!!

Terrible experience. I called for an appointment after both seeing and hearing a raccoon in our attic. They told me they could not send anyone for over two weeks. Meanwhile, I bought a cage myself off Amazon and we caught her. Yes, her. It was a nursing female. As the week went on we caught a total of 4 baby raccoons. Ourselves, because the company was not available. Our appointment date came and the Company called the day of to cancel and reschedule. The customer service representative I spoke to said she would call me back with a new appointment date and time. I did not receive a call back. I gave them another call; I was told they would give me a call back. I then received a voicemail about an hour later stating the technician was there but "no one was home" . (No one ever called me to confirm an appointment!) She went onto say the technician said, "everything looks fine!". I have no idea how the technician knows " everything is fine " without being let into the home. The raccoons were in the attic and between the floors. We have no idea how they got in and if there are anymore left (dead or alive).

Very unprofessional! They don't back their work and then blame other companies for the defects. The manager I had a conversation with was very unprofessional, yelled and used profanity! I would not recommend them if you want the job done right!

I am extremely disappointed in Varment Guard. We had to have 3 birds nests removed from our ducts. Someone came out to assess our situation on a Friday. We were also told by the person who spoke with us on the phone it would be fixed the same day. Well, they did not remove the birds the same day, and no one followed up with us to make another appointment to take care of our problem. I had to call them back to make an appointment with them again. Then the girl on the phone told me a supervisor would be in touch to discuss a discounted price for the miscommunication. No one called me back, so I called and left a voicemail with a supervisor. That person never called me back, either. I called again today, and of course, they have no notes in my file regarding my situation and I'm still waiting to hear back from someone. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Its just rude to ignore customers, and I don't appreciate being treated poorly on the phone. I can't even get a phone number to contact a supervisor bc the girl on the phone wouldn't give me any further information!
