Velvet Nail Bar

Stay away!! Had regularly been getting dip manis for about 5 months (on and off for years), and decided to stop here because of the great reviews. First of all, the stations were filthy. Then the nail tech asked if I wanted my dip off or if I just wanted a new color on top of my current mani. I don't know if this is normal for other places, but I have never been given that option. I asked for my dip to be removed, and instead of soaking, the nail tech used the nail drill to shave off the dip all the way to my natural nails. Not only was this super painful, but it caused so much damage to my nails!!

The color and finished product was fine, nothing special and a little sharp on the edges. I was horrified though, when I got my next dip mani at a different salon to find out that they actually used acrylic powder on my nails and did not use a protective layer.

It took almost an hour to soak whatever Velvet put in my nails. I was then left with the thinnest and most frail nails I have ever had. Go anywhere else in the area!!

This place has great quality service.The nail bar is modern and clean. The designer walls are beautiful. They have a complimentary built in bar for 1 free drink. Both my nail techs were kind and welcoming. Highly recommend!!

I went here for the first time and it was lovely. My normal place closed earlier because it was Sunday so I searched for a place still open past 5. They were open until 7, lucky for me! I got the best pedicure of my life. My tech was a younger woman and she was so nice and gentle with my toes. Best massage and pedicure ever. You can tell this salon is serious about their business. I'll be back soon.

I've only been in Florida for a few months and I've been looking for a nail salon to call home and I think I found it. I don't like the process of getting my nails done but I like the outcome. I really liked that my nail tech Nolan was fast and efficient. He focused on the task and got it done quickly and I didn't jump from a prick or being nipped. The most important thing for me when I wear tips is shaping and Nolan made sure I was happy with the shape before he moved on. I didn't give 5 stars because the ventilation could use an upgrade. The chemical smell was strong and they didn't have any chrome colors but they have a cute bar and offer you a beverage and the place was clean. It's a long drive for me but I'm going back.

Was excited to try this place and they did a good job on my manicure but my gel manicure started chipping after a week. Will go back for a pedicure but not gel manicure.

Was my first time visiting after leaving my old nail salon. My old place was just getting worse and worse. Loved the ambiance and the great location. I was immediately sweat and the place is very big and spacious, and equipped with massage chairs. I did the pink cosmo pedicure and the nail tech was great at giving my feet some much needed TLC. Really enjoyed the color selections and the paint job was perfect. Will definitely going back with friends.

WOW!!!! This place is truly the best nail salon in Orlando. I came in with old grown out SNS, I was ready for a new paint job and I got the most royal treatment from the staff here. Brandon was so sweet and delicate, he took off my SNS and I asked for a baby pink gel manicure which he absolutely did delivery. I was so pleased by the fun environment and the fact that I was in and out, in 30 MINUTES!!! It was such a fabulous experience and my nails look exactly like I wanted. Simple, clean, and classic! Between the angelic front desk girly, the incredible dream worker Brandon, and the stunning inside, i will never go anywhere else!

I made a nail appointment online with Sam, who was recommended to me by my sister. If you book an appointment online you will be asked to make a $10 deposit.

Parking was not too difficult to find downtown. You just have to keep your eye peeled for parallel spots, you can find quite a few that have free two hour parking.

This was only my second time getting my finger nails done with dip. Sam was very thorough and understood my requests. I did not want the dip too thick and I wanted my nails at an appropriate length since I work at the hospital.

Unfortunately at work, I realized one of my nails had chipped. I had gotten them done Thursday and the gel chipped Sunday. I called them and they promptly made me an appointment the following day to get it fixed. I really appreciate the service and willingness to fix my nail at no charge.

This was my first time going here and it did not miss!!! The salon is so nice and even offers alcoholic beverages. I had Steven do my nails and he was so kind. I have essential tremor in my hands so nail techs don't always understand that I can't control the shaking. Will definitely be back!!

Highly recommend Nolan!! He always color tests various dip powders for me to ensure we find the perfect one & pays GREAT attention to detail!!
