Jonathon came out to give me a quote and was professional, efficient, on-time and helpful. He gave me 2 different quotes at my request with regard to saving some money.
While he was at my house he even took a few minutes to correct an outlet that I had installed incorrectly. Since it only took a few minutes and it was easy to do he did it for FREE!! That is unheard of these days! I mean who does that unless they are a friend or family member! Wow!

I have to unfortunately give this place a bad review. I'll preface that i initiated a project here on yelp and wanted to use veteran electric, they were my top choice. I requested a quote to have a line installed in my garage for electric charging and to add 2 outlets. I received a fast response initially requesting some more info stating the quote would be pretty quick. I started receiving other quotes some saying they needed to come out an 3 that did come out within 48hrs. It took over 3 days to get another response from veteran electric this time through email asking for the same information I provided on yelp.
I made the initial request on a Saturday and didn't get an email till Monday which I excused even though I had multiple responses and quotes coming in over the weekend. I responded immediately to the email and again several hours later no response. I messaged them again on yelp saying I still hadn't received a quote and requested that someone come out to do the quote. The soonest they could do was 2 days later on Wednesday. The guy who came out was very nice and the only redeeming part of my experience. He noted everything and gave me a quote quickly. I asked if they'd be willing to match another quote because again I really preferred to give them my business and I showed him what I was quote and he said absolutely we can do that, even put it in the notes. He also mentioned if I wanted to schedule they were about 2 days out which worked for me. When I approved the quote and wanted to confirm they agreed to the price they wanted me to send in the quote for manager approval. I sent it in and got no response the rest of the afternoon. The next day I emailed again and they said they needed a detailed quote specifying exactly what they were doing to see if they were offering the same job and that the soonest they had was a week out and they didn't have any availability the rest of this week. The lack of communication and slow response times to emails and questions made this a very long process. Definitely would have preferred to give them my business and I'm sure they would have done great work but the lack of timely responses, availability and unwillingness to uphold their statement they would honor another companies offer drove me away.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

We are sorry to hear about your experience. We recieved your request on saturday and asked for some info so we can send you an estimate, this would have been done on saturday but we needed to be sure that there was space in your panel as the pics showed only 2 available spaces. We messaged you and informed you of this. We then called as promised on Monday to set up an appointment, unfortunately we were a couple days out of appointments so we set you up for Wednesday. Our tech came out and gave you an estimate and mentioned on the estimate that we can match the price. We are happy to do this but it requires a detailed estimate from our competitor to initiate this discount as alot of contractors do not do work properly in non-permitted areas. We did receive a copy of a Yelp message with vague pricing but not detailed at all. I emailed asking if you had this document for this discount and received a bad review instead of the estimate. Sorry that we could not accommodate you but we have procedures in place that we must follow. Thank you for the opportunity.

I'm not sure about their service quality. They provide free estimates but I was quoted $1442 to install outdoor circuit breakers. That seems pretty outrageous. Perhaps he thought he was speaking with an undereducated person with no common sense given the area or condition of the home? I'm so tired of these companies taking advantage. All o can say is always get multiple quotes. I got the circuit breaker and new flood light installed for 350 parts and labor by another electrician and that still may have been slightly overpriced. Just be careful because this quote was unreasonable.

Found Veteran Electric company through Yelp's trusted projects system. I received a lot of quotes and honestly went with the best value and company who had good reviews. Electricity isn't something to go cheap on and we wanted it done right. We got our EV charger installed and it looks great. Jonathan was our electrician and super professional. He arrived during the scheduled time and finished within 2 hours. We love the work and it was easy to schedule and communicate with the employees.

We inquired Veteran Electric for EV charger installed. Out of the many we inquired to, we thought their price was fair. We scheduled a few times and had to cancel but we finally found a time we could get get it done. They were very accommodating.

Vince the owner of this business got in touch with me the day I wrote this review, and came the next morning to finish the job. He was super friendly and accommodating and not only finished the job correctly, but went above and beyond to make sure that it looked nice. Yes, things started a bit rough, but dealing with Vince was a pleasure. Thank you Vince, I am updating my review to a 4 stars. The only reason it isn't a five is because it wasn't done correctly to begin with. I would for sure recommend Vince with Veterans Electric and if the need comes up, I will use them again!
I had all kinds of problems getting the work scheduled. I took off of work to be there the day they told me they would do the work only to have Doc call me to tell me he didn't realize I was in Conroe city limits and that they'd have to obtain a permit before doing the work. Well he had been to my home in order to give me a quote for the work so that was a lie of an excuse considering he not only had my address, but had been to my home as well. I decided to over look that and have them do the work anyway and now wish I hadn't.
They came to do the work and assured me that when they were done they would label the panel and give me the old Zinsco panel and cover plate because I wanted to keep them. The work seemed to be done ok except that they left without labeling the panel, and didn't give me the cover plate of the old panel. The power did not get cut back on until 12:30am which is an Entergy problem and that isn't Veteran Electrics fault, however Doc assured me that once the power was back on that he would come out to finish the job and label the panel. I texted him 3 different times about completing the work and bringing me back my faceplate but all texts went unanswered. I then go to inspect the work they did and realize that they moved the Wi-Fi box right to a location right above my sprinkler controller and the cord is laying tightly against the door of the sprinkler panel so that I can no longer access my sprinkler system to turn it on or off. My panel is still not labeled and the place where my sprinkler system plugs into the panel either doesn't have a fuse or it didnt get connected because it has no power. I'm beyond pissed at the lack of response, lack of customer support, theft of my cover panel which was antique I'm sure, and the fact that little seemed to be done correctly. Surely running a WiFi service over a sprinkler panel is not to code anyway.
Do NOT use this company if you want things done properly and in a timely manner. They ARE NOT it! My work was done on January 26th and it is now March 14 and I am still yet to get a text returned from Doc. Dec 11, 2023Previous reviewI called this company and left messages all 3 times and no one ever called me back. Not sure how they show a 10 minute response time as that is a joke. My son is a veteran so I was excited about talking to them, but I'm telling you save your time and call someone else!
