It is absolutely no surprise that I had an experience similar to many others on this page. What I found to be exceptional about this experience was working with Andy and his team. I brought my Honda in for smog repairs. The shop was clear on the costs, the cost was very reasonable, they got back to me soon after taking my car in, they gave me options of what to do next.

They were clear, honest, and easy to work with. I'm planning on selling my car and my other car is electric so I won't have to take it in and I'm surprised to be a little bummed about not having a reason to come back here. It speaks volumes to the level of skill and professionalism this shop delivers. Andy's just a great human as well. If you talk to him you'll feel it immediately. I really wish the best for them. This was a great find and experience through and through.

Called Monday AM & got a same day appointment. (They do walk ins, too)
Went in 90 mins later.
In and out the door in 15 mins.

2 years ago I went somewhere else. Spent $20 less but waited 45 mins for the service because they overbooked. Won't be doing that again.

This is my go to shop for smog needs.

I just had my 2003 Ford smogged by Andy Y.

This Ford has two new catalytic converters (installed professionally in Walnut Creek) in which other smog places were unable to read the catalytic serial or model numbers or were unable to read the engine emissions label. Basically Andy took the extra effort to access and read the Cat numbers, so a big thank you Andy!

Walk-in appointment to get my car smogged and couldn't be more satisfied. Alex was about to take his lunch break but insisted on seeing me anyway so I didn't have to come back later in the day. Lunch is sacred so I offered to come back another day but he said no he'd get it done for me. Super fast and friendly service. Never had a better smog experience

Another satisfied customer. Andy is a great guy and runs a smooth shop. Went for a smog certificate and he accommodated me despite it being the end of the day, and then even super kindly helped another customer after me who arrived within 20 minutes of closing. What a saint! Note that parking can be challenging and the "street" it's on seems like you're just pulling into the Mazda dealership. Easy person and place to recommend.

Another bi-annual smog check needed. Usually go to the one I did before but they ghosted me, so I'm back to researching legit, credible Smog check folks and I arrived at Walnut Creek Smog.

Andy is a wonderful owner and knows how to run a business... customer service is a rarity these days, and Andy absolutely specializes in that. He is reasonable and understandable, and really tries to put a smile in your face! He also is well liked by the community as I see regulars come in and are treated like family.

As you know, I love supporting local businesses, and even though Andy's shop is in Walnut Creek, I will make the trip there from Pittsburg truly for the experience.

Prices are super affordable and reasonable too!

Also, it's a bit tricky where the location is, but he's right behind the Subaru dealership.
