Wasatch Moving Company

We were very impressed with Wasatch Movers from beginning our search for a moving firm, to the estimates, to the follow up by both the Operations Manager and Crystal, our contact, prior to the move and most especially to the professional three-man crew sent to move our 4 bedroom, two story house contents from North Salt Lake to Layton.

Immediately I preferred my voice mails, text, e mails and best of all phone conversations with Crystal as she was not calling from a busy call center. Wasatch does not charge a separate several hundred dollar fee to drive to your location and back to their location. They merely start the clock when the crew leaves their place of business at the same hourly rate for a two, three or four man crew and truck. They also do not charge 18% of the total bill as an extra "Fuel Charge." This fee was well hidden in the fine print for most of their competitors. My total bill was more than $100 LESS than the low side of the estimate scale per the mover websites.

None of our belongings were damaged and my son who is an experienced employee supervisor was very impressed with their quick and efficient work. Highly recommend these movers.

This is the worse company I've even hired!!! Do not hire them because they just care about your money not the items they're helping you move.

They did not cover the furniture good like other moving companies do to avoid them to brake or scrape. They broke a dresser, a new TV, and other items. They scraped another new dresser and a night stand and ripped a mattress!!! They are seriously the worse company you could hire!!!!

They wanted to give me $27.00 for all the things they broke and damage. The insurance they offer is to cover them not your items.

You are supposed to purchase additional Insurance that cover your items a little more and be able to get some money back in case this happens but they do not tell you that because they don't care.

I spoke to the supervisor a few times regarding this but of course they don't care! It was a waste of my time trying to get somewhere with them!

I was in a crunch to move, the company I had hired did not show up (or even respond to my voicemails and texts). So I called Wasatch Moving Company. They picked up the job right away!
I had injured my ribs and have had previous foot surgery, so I'm not that useful at a critical time.
We got most of my stuff moved out of my 2 bedroom (very full) apartment, the first day, and then spent the next day off loading the truck, picking up a bedroom set I purchased, and putting together beds and heavy pieces.
These guys worked tirelessly in the heat. They had to walk extra far due to road construction between my old apartment and the truck.
Anyway, long story short, I'm a happy customer!
I'd like to thank Sterling, Mo, Brett and Brandon for their hard work and having a " go getter" attitude.
PS PEOPLE: TIP YOUR MOVERS!!

The team that showed up at our house had a great attitude and really worked hard. I hope I don't have to move again soon, but if I do I would call these guys.

Easiest to explain using a comparison between the company we hired in Las Vegas to load the truck, to Wasatch Moving, who we hired to unload the truck up here.

Las Vegas company - charged a little under $200 for two guys to work for three hours to load a 3 bedroom apartment, were professional and efficient, careful, and did a great job.

Wasatch Moving Company - charged almost $500 for two guys to work for three hours. Were not very careful, but the worst part was one of the movers gave us a bunch of attitude when all we did was ask him to be more careful with our stuff. My wife ended up sending them both away after two hours with the dryer still in the truck and a desk still to be moved upstairs. The other mover was fine, and the manager called and apologized, so there's that, I guess.

But yeah, at the end of the day, there's dozens of moving companies out there that will do a better job for half the price. Go find one of those instead.

When it came to moving boxes from one point to another they did fine. I decided to trust them with packing my furniture for a cross country move. When I arrived on the other side the local movers told me to bring my camera as I would have an insurance claim. Turns out that the Wasatch movers decided to put metal garden furniture on top of a new desk, thereby creating large gouges on the desks surface. Other furniture was damaged through a lack of care. When I complained, they told me I hadn't provided enough supplies so it wasn't their fault. Supplies were available so not only did they destroy my furniture, but they basically called me a liar. Want to trust your move with people like that?

Wasatch Moving Company was incredible to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is moving. They were fast and efficient. They were also sociable and all around great guys. Moving isn't fun- but these guys sure made a chaotic situation so much better. I was estimating a 4-5 hour move and these guys got it done in 2.5! They have a loyal customer in me!

Great guys and great rates! Not only were they very professional, personable and friendly, but they were also super quick. Our stuff was out of our U-Haul truck and into our storage within a few minutes! My husband and I will def be using them again once we purchase our home.

After an inventory and quote, we still ended up with a disaster. Should have cancelled after the 4th time someone called to confirm the appointment, each with a different time, day, etc. They sent two kids to pack but only 1 could stay an hour. Apparently they were overbooked. The one guy packed as much as he could and said movers would pack the rest the next day. All this was communicated with someone in the office at the end of day one, as we witnessed the conversation. Movers showed up next day and were surprised they had to pack. They loaded truck with boxes first so needless to say a lot of the heavy items could not be moved because the truck would have too much weight towards the door. Not too mention, they didn't load furniture appropriately, so we were asked to pick and choose what we wanted moved because it wouldn't all fit. My husband could have packed the truck better! I've now been dealing with attempting to get a refund for two months. The two kids that packed us did an ok job, some damage to pictures due to improper packaging and really only one guy that knew how to move. So after $2500 bucks, we still spent a ton of time moving our own stuff due to their lack of knowledge, experience and communication. Although, every discussion, the blame is on me for not saying I was unhappy. Save your time and money, and go elsewhere. These guys are clueless and what's worse they don't give two cents about their customers and will blame all the issues on you. Seriously, you'd be better off doing it yourself. I have no idea how they're still in business.

My brother had these guys move him and they wrapped everything and they didn't destroy anything and they didn't take very long or charge very much. I know I would recommend them.
