Although the price seems a bit high, there are no hidden fees. What I was quoted was what I paid. The two movers who came, Bobby and Dave, were great. They were quick and efficient. Couldn't ask for anything more.

We used wasatch moving for a local move. The people who came were kind and respectful. The pricing was fair and I was aware of all costs when I received the quote. I would recommend them and use them again in the future if we move.

My most recent move with Wasatch Moving Company was horrible. Unlike the first time, in Jan. 2023, this was incredibly stressful and a total failure on the company's part. The truck was all wrong, the guys -- "A" and "X" --we're completely incompetent imbeciles, and it got worse from there.
The truck was way too big, barely made it thru the gate, and blocked the entire back lot. My building neighbors got very upset and once it was loaded I still had to ride them for 15 minutes to get the truck out of the back lot.
The guys couldn't follow simple and repeated instructions, especially "X."
"X" loaded things in the wrong places -- incl two huge bags of household garbage put into my uhaul; he dropped a bag with my sweaters in it into the muddy gutter then left it there while he climbed up into the cab of the big truck; a bin with my important legal and personal docs that was for my personal uhaul somehow never made it -- I have no idea where it is!!!!!; and, they loaded the uhaul completely the opposite of my instructions and in opposition to basic load dynamics.
They were slow as hell and my daughter and I had to do all the plastic wrapping of the fragile stuff.
Despite my recovering from a recent bout with Covid, and being over 60-years-old, I had to make 30 trips between my basement apt and the uhaul.
These were the worst %#*@$?! movers I have ever had the immense displeasure of working with.Helpful 1Thanks 2Love this 0Oh no 1 - Lewis W.East Honolulu, HI043Feb 17, 2023

I needed to move out all of the heavy furniture before having the floor redone. The guys were fast and efficient yet patient taking apart my fridge handle and doors to fit through the doorway. They had to go out and around and then back inside and did a great job with all the maneuvering. I will be calling them again to move things back inside once the flooring is complete.

Do not use this company. What an awful experience moving. It took 10 hours to load two truckfuls of items. We lost all of the freezer food due to how long it took, Had to clean up a poop from one of the employees putting in the trash can, and I ended up taking a tumble down the stairs due to them pulling up a nail. The movers pulled one of the baseboards off the wall.
Wasatch moving company is not nice and does not guarantee their work. What is out on their website is inaccurate and be prepared to argue as the employees do not listen. When told about the fecal matter in the trash can we were given an apology and the employee must have been too embarrassed to say anything.
This company charges an arm and a leg for sub par work. Really what you are paying for is the employees to sit around, vape, and not move your items in a timely matter if at all.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jared M.Draper, UT2331Aug 11, 2023
We love working with Wasatch Moving Company. We use them at least over a dozen times a year for the past 4-5 years. We use their help to move homeowners furniture out and move our furniture in and vise versa for various photo opps. They're always on time and punctual. They are very respectful and courteous to our team and the homeowners we come in contact with. Now, this may seem like a perfect review but we do our part as well. We give specific instructions to the whole team and our expectations which are very clear. Damages are slim to none, but we are all human. We take into account almost every scenario and we help do our part to help the movers. We cover corners of walls with cardboard protectors just in case any bumps happen. We have a specific layout of best way in and out with large furniture and always specify fragile items before they handle them. We also help them when needed. Since the items we handle are fragile and important, I always remind the guys to take their time. Like I said they're human and we all make mistakes, its how we try and prevent them that has made us successful with their help. We will continue to use them when needed.

It depends on who you get to move you. The experienced ones, or the inexperienced ones. Let's face it, no one wants to do hard physical work anymore so I have seen a decline in the quality of employees and the good ones don't stay long so you are going to have a lot of inexperience. With that being said, the company needs to compensate people who get inexperienced or unqualified movers.
I was charged FIVE hours for a two room daylight walk-out basement (walk right out to an open patio and then only 4 steps going up on an open-terrain side of the house). I was told it was a "technical move" as I was moving those items across country and that's why it took so long. Other than boxes, the heavy items only included a king size bed, a desk, two dressers, a small round table/chairs, a side chair, two end tables, an coffee table, a bookcase and a small hutch. No appliances or other furniture.
Ok, so, that's fine. I'll pay the five hours for the "technicality" of getting all my stuff cross country in good shape. However, they did NOT strap back the boxes they had stacked to the top of the truck (in the back of the truck) so that when we filled up with gas only 10 miles later as we were headed out of town, we opened the back and all the boxes had fallen onto the stuff that was only stacked halfway (in the front of the truck) and things got damaged.
I called the manager or owner (I don't know who he was). He agreed that five hours was excessive (I had sent him pictures, previously, of everything to be loaded) and that for 5 hours of time, it should have been strapped back but did not even offer a discount or any compensation. That was not good service on his part.
I would have strapped it down myself if the mover guys had said something. I made it very clear, upfront, that I was available to help them with any questions and I also supplied the rope for strapping the boxes back and told them they could cut it or do whatever they wanted to with it. Unfortunately, their communication was almost non-existent, but I kept getting calls from the "supervisor" with all their questions. It was weird. The mover guys were personable and I gave them each a cash tip but did not realize they hadn't strapped the high load back until we were already on our way.
By that time, it was impossible to crawl over the half-height items to re-stack and tie back the boxes in the back of the truck.
You may be paying for help but you had better make sure they do what they should do, every step of the way. I believe this company does not care who they send out to you and has horrible customer service and will charge you for excessive time if they can get away with it.
I will absolutely be sharing this experience with everyone I can. It was horrible. You may be better off hiring a neighbor kid or your own kids to do the job as the quality might be better.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Laura B.Pebblecreek, West Jordan, UT182Mar 24, 2023
This is the worse company I've even hired!!! Do not hire them because they just care about your money not the items they're helping you move.
They did not cover the furniture good like other moving companies do to avoid them to brake or scrape. They broke a dresser, a new TV, and other items. They scraped another new dresser and a night stand and ripped a mattress!!! They are seriously the worse company you could hire!!!!
They wanted to give me $27.00 for all the things they broke and damage. The insurance they offer is to cover them mot your items.
You are supposed to purchase additional Insurance that cover your items a little more and be able to get some money back in case this happens but they do not tell you that because they don't care.
I spoke to the supervisor a few times regarding this but of course they don't care! It was a waste of my time trying to get somewhere with them!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Richard C.Salt Lake City, UT03Nov 3, 2022
This is the second time I've used Wasatch Moving Company. They are organized, on time, efficient and careful. Thorough and they do the job right!
This move was the 20 October 2022 Thursday. The price quote is right on and the time was appropriate to the contents moved. I always tip so they were happy guys.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
