So lucky to have found Dr. Welch's office and been so treated well by him and his staff. I was in town on business and had a dental emergency. Dr. Welch's team was able to get me in that day and fix my problem. He did a great job explaining things to me and the fix was quick and painless. So thankful for Dr. Welch and his staff. Great experience with these life savers! I had older dental work that I had fixed/re-done when I was working overseas just days before relocating back to the states. After a month here my new fillings felt wrong, it hurt to bite down and I had 2-3 days of strong toothache pain across my whole upper toothline. Unfortunately with no insurance, and just barely starting a job, I was very worried I wouldn't be able to find anyone to fix it. After googling around, I found a coupon on their website for an inexpensive exam and xrays and made an appointment, thinking if I needed work done I'd just find out how urgent it is and try to schedule it after a month or two.

I'm a doctor, and speak from experience - not only did they do a thorough history and evaluation (especially for such a great price), they also did xrays and showed me photographs of that area of my molars so I could understand the situation. Technology has improved a LOT since I left the states to work overseas, so the digital xray camera, and photos were amazing to see.

The absolute best part, which is important to me as an ethical healthcare provider, was that they didn't immediately tell me a list of problems and work I'd need done (that really didn't need to be done - we've all been there, right?). They assured me that my fillings were fine (the Dr overseas did a better job than I'd worried about); explained that the configuration of the filling wasn't what I'd misunderstood them to be; that I could floss easily (I hadn't been, because I'd thought the space between the teeth closed off); reassured me that flossing should help mitigate my issue and the pain... And that was it. No hard sell? Such relief. We discussed my next regular cleaning, which was to be expected, and they sent me on my way.

I can't say enough good thing about Whispering Creek Dental. Over the Holidays I was visiting family in Sioux City, and found myself needing an after hours dentist. Every dentist in Sioux City will advertise they offer emergency dental services, but none of them actually follow thru with their advertisement, except for Dr. Welch. The others that say they will say they offer it have a disclaimer that you have to be a patient of record, which is hard to do when you live in Chicago. Dr. Welch came in on Christmas Eve and I was in and out of his office in an hour, and everything taken care of. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, trustworthy dentist don't hesitate to reach out to Dr. Welch and his staff!
