The entire staff is professional and skilled - but more importantly they are kind and caring. Every child is considered unique and while team/group leaning is important, Juanita and her staff ensure each child's individual needs and characteristics are nurtured. Juanita's kindness and caring carries over to all that attend this school. Older students mentor younger ones. If you have to sum up this school in one word it would be KINDNESS. Yes they are learning, yes Juanita demands the best from each student. But over it all there is a sense of teamwork, caring, and kindness.

Oh no 0Aug 25, 2023Previous reviewWhat a wonderful place to be - not just to learn dance - but the love of dance, of friendship, caring, and being the best you can be. You are not just another child in a class. Each child is nurtured to reach their best potential. I am amazed at the teaching staff - how attentive they are to the dancers, and Juanita has this ability to make each child feel they are the star of the class!

Both my daughters were lifelong dancers at Wilson. My younger one is now a dance major at a large university here is her review,
"I danced at Wilson for 15 years and wouldn't trade my experience there for the world. I continue to keep up with the teachers and friends I met there. The staff were invested in my learning and my creative development. Through Wilson I had the chance to dance for the Harlem Globetrotters halftime show and the Cherry Blossom Parade in DC along with many other performances. I am forever grateful that I got to grow up dancing there."
My other daughter used to say it felt like home.
Would highly recommend - because the school is quality. Your children are known and valued AND given an excellent dance education.

As a student of Wilson School of Dance throughout middle and high school, the experiences I have had have been wonderful. Every instructor is attentive and gives helpful corrections to each of their students, giving them the tools to succeed in dance. Wilson is also a welcoming and fun environment, and the community within the school is very supportive. Overall, Wilson School of Dance has helped me reach my goals, and my training there has prepared me to pursue a career in dance. I would highly recommend the studio to anyone wishing for a more serious dance training, or anyone who simply wants to have fun with dance!
