Heard of this eatery via Netflix. Chef David Chang featured this restaurant on Ugly Delicious. The parking lot is tiny and there is only outdoor dining with great shade. I was very intrigued by the Mediterranean and Mexican fusion so I had to try it out.
I ordered the Chicken Shawarma plate which includes salad, rice pilaf and hummus. The Chicken was extremely tender and seasoned beautifully. The rice was okay, it wasn't as flavorful as I expected. The salad and in house dressing was amazing and super fresh. The hummus was delicious! And texture was on point. Their homemade salsa was so damn good too!! You could definitely taste the smokiness in the chilis they used.
I would highly recommend this place if your looking for authentic fusion food. I can't wait to come back and try the Mole!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - V. I.Los Angeles, CA3171Nov 2, 2023
I came for lunch and was greeted by one of the brothers who was very kind. I ate at one of the tables under the pergola. The food was fresh and flavorful. The falafel are so light but since they are made to order the outside is perfectly crispy... they were delicious!!! The hummus is smooth, the salad was perfectly dressed- in fact I was surprised at how much I liked the salad. There was probably a whole cucumber in there. The pita is large and flaky...
This was divine.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - G C.Downey, CA021Mar 6, 2024

I read an article in Westways so I sought out this location. Limited parking but fast service. I ordered the combo so I could try a bit of everything. The chicken and beef were good. I did not care for the chorizo.
The humus was a bit off in flavor. Good salad and turnips. This location has 4 tables and shade.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Anna T.Los Angeles, CA38894135Apr 27, 2023
Unassuming cute corner restaurant. The 4.5 star review and curiosity for trying out a Mexican/Mediterranean spot had us curious. Lots of parking, and it was a nice day to eat in their clean, outdoor patio.
Ordered the Combination plate and Falafel plate which come with Rice, Lebanese salad, and Hummus. Based on rave reviews I substituted one of the salads for Tabbouleh for an extra charge.
Service was friendly and Food was good. Everything was fresh, falafel was crispy (what's up with all the yummy falafels I've been eating lately!!!), pita was the right amount of hot and soft for breaking. Interesting touch is they have a falafel taco option- we didn't get it... but also cactus in their tabbouleh, and salsa to add to your food. Happy about the Coca Cola product choice.
Taking down a star because for a little neighborhood cafe it was pricey for just 2 plates and 1 coke. We didn't notice the plate prices because the yummy pictures in the window didn't show them - have to look at another menu... and when the tally came up bill was about $40! I was in shock... by the time I wanted to change the order they were almost done with making the meal.
Beware: if you don't substitute the salad for Tabbouleh on your plate, you missed the train. They don't do side salads.. you have to pay a whopping $10 for a whole tabbouleh salad for a taste.
Would recommend more if i didn't feel like I paid too much! They still deserve some business so I would split a plate next time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Grace Z.Monterey Park, CA11286Jan 30, 2024
This place is a hidden gem! The food is a beautiful fusion of Middle Eastern and Oaxacan flavors!l Their tabbouleh nopal salad is a favorite of mine, if you're a nopalera like me, order it! Do yourself a favor and come try this place. The brothers who own and work here have done an amazing job with their dishes!

This hidden gem has some pretty incredible Mexican-Mediterranean fusion food. The chicken shawarma taco and black bean hummus are must-tries and the combo plate is perfect if you're looking to try a little something of everything.
While there's no indoor seating or public restrooms, the friendly service and fair prices make it worth the visit if you're in the area.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michelle F.CA, CA127Oct 25, 2023
The food was good with nice portions. We ordered a chicken sharma plate, chicken kabob plate, potatoes, pickled turnips, and cauliflower. I was also impressed by the amount of pita bread given.
Only minus is the lack of sides that Mediterranean restaurants serve. We also wanted to try the tabbouleh salad, but were out. I will go back again when I am in the area.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1
