This super cool rug store sells only vintage, quality rugs. No mass produced crap or your grandmama's old nappy doormat.
You'll find rugs from Persia, Turkey (where the owner is from), and all over the Middle East. These guys really know what they're talking about, so ask if you have any questions.
It seems like a cool hangout spot too. I found a group of folks sitting Indian-style around a rug and chatting when I first came in. :)Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michael H.Chicago, IL310Dec 17, 2016
I've been a rug lover and part-time collector of original hand-made carpets for close to 20 years now and I can honestly saying that shopping at Yoruk Rug Gallery with the owner Mete has been the most enjoyable of any of the places I've been. In addition to the owner's great knowledge and willingness to share information with you I've never encountered such an eclectic selection of pieces for every taste and every price point. I highly recommend a visit to Yoruk Rug Gallery for anyone looking for a unique rug for their home at a reasonable price.

If you are looking for a rug that will last forever and you won't see at your neighbors house this is the place. Owner is very knowledgeable and passionate about antique rugs, but without the pretension you get at the Evanston rug stores. These are investment pieces and will cost more than Ikea, but not as much as you think.
Also sells Pillows an antique fabrics, Tribal style rugs and Tulus (those fuzzy looking rugs you see in magazines.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
