Zenzero Artisan Gelato

Stopped on the way back home to San Antonio, honesty never even heard of it. But gotta say the flavors were all pleasant and enjoyable.
The staff looked almost happy to serve me as much as I waisted to be served. San Marcos you got a great place to eat ice cream & gelatos !

A much needed dessert place on this side of 35. It is located near HEB Plus. They should do well nestled by BBQ, pizza, and burrito places.

This is the second gelato place in town but very different! Zen goes above and beyond with many options besides gelato. Their gelato flavors change daily. My son gobbled up his vanilla and I opted for the mango sorbet which tasted so fresh. The couple behind us ordered espressos and crepes. They have lots of crepe options (fruit, Nutella, jam, gelato, etc) but also have savory crepes with meats. Oh they have shakes, sundaes and affogatos.

The owners were very pleasant and seemed to go above in customer. The place is very clean. I am looking forward to returning to try crepes and new gelato flavors.

They are closed on Mondays.

The owners are so sweet. I got there right at closing and they were so kind to still serve me and allow me to eat my ice cream. So thankful! The gelato was so good and I also had an espresso shot

Today the cantaloupe and lemon were refreshing. Enjoyed the pistachio gelato which was creamy.
Can also purchase coffee or an affogato, or their own chocolate ice cream sandwhich.

Very cute store with a large selection and original flavors! The owner was super friendly and took the time to chat with us.

I'd recommend the vanilla bourbon flavor which was awesome, some others were less tasty.

They also have nice sundaes, even though they were lacking of flavors too.

This place definitely lives up to its reviews and exceeds expectations. It is one of those mom and pop shops but instead, run by a husband and his wife and really clean.

When we arrived, we were greeted right away by the owner and he immediately offered us some samples. My friend ordered the one scoop chocolate peppermint (if I'm not mistaken) as well as the nutella crepe with strawberries and bananas, whereas, I ordered the combo he had with the nutella crepe with strawberries and bananas, along with a latte, which he suggested decaf since it was already 6pm or so.

He gave us the gelato first and even though I am not a big fan of chocolate peppermint, it was definitely good and very intense in favor, which my friend loved of course.

Unfortunately, his wife was out sick and he had to tend to customers, while also making the food himself, which he did apologize for the wait. For us, it wasn't much of a wait but we did appreciate his apology.

The crepes my friend ans I ordered, along with my decaf latte was definitely worth the wait! Right off the bat, we could tell the crepe was made fresh and it just made the perfect combination with the fresh fruit and hot nutella on the inside. The latte was amazing! I added a packet of sweetener to make it how I like it but it was amazing regardless.

Great Gelato spot in New Braunfels! Several delicious flavors of gelato- and I know this because they were very generous with us sampling different flavors! We tried the Violet (yes!) and Vanilla bourbon, but ultimately couldn't resist the Salted Caramel in a waffle cone. YUM!!
Also available here were a selection of crepes(sweet & savory!) and coffee drinks. This was a NEW TO US place, but we'll definitely be back!

I'm from Paris and this is one of my favorite places to get Crepes, it had a very similar bite and flavor to the ones I'd eat back home. The owners are Italian and seem very friendly! Happy with this unexpected find

Decent gelato. Limited flavors (maybe because of the cool weather in February?).

The price was a bit higher and serving size a bit smaller than expected.

Clean facility and friendly service.
