VARICOSE VEIN TREATMENT
Has Never Been Easier!
It’s not even the end of the day and you can’t wait to sit down and put your feet up. The heaviness, aching and throbbing you feel in your lower extremities may even be clearly visible by the bluish trails along your legs. If so, you probably dislike what you see as much as the discomfort it causes.
Every spring many women and men alike stand looking in the mirror deciding “Pants or shorts?” When they look down at their legs they are reminded of how self-conscious they are of their unattractive Varicose and Spider Veins. Vein disease is extremely common. Left untreated, vein problems only get worse over time.
What Makes VSC Unique to Other Vein Practices?
We ONLY treat VEINS.
We not only treat the superficial system of veins...We also treat the deep venous system.
We not only treat veins of the legs...We also treat veins of the pelvis, abdomen, arms, legs, and face.
We not only treat venous reflux...We also treat venous thrombosis and venous blockage.
We not only have IAC accredited Vascular Labs in each office...We also have a AAAHC accredited Office Based Surgical Facility (we meet the same standards and requirements as hospitals and outpatient surgical centers).
We not only use Endovenous Ablation (like Closure Fast or EVLT) and Sclerotherapy...We also use Clarivein, Varithena, Venaseal, Microphlebectomy, Venous Angioplasty, Stents and Venous Coils.
We not only treat you when procedures are required...We also treat you when they are not.
We don’t just treat you until procedures are no longer needed...We treat you as long as we can help
We will not only treat you to the full extent of our capabilities...We will also refer you to national and world experts with whom we have personal relationships.
Dr. David Gardner Draughn, MD, FACS, RVT, RPVI, RPhS is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine (commonly known as “board certified”).
Thank you for visiting Vein Specialists of the Carolinas. I have assembled a team of professionals. Together we are committed to providing our patients with state of the art treatment for every problem of the venous system.
It is our goal to conduct a comprehensive review of your leg vein problem in order to determine the proper vein treatment for you at the initial consultation. We perform a complete venous leg ultrasound, measure your legs for accurate fitting of compression garments, and take detailed digital images of your legs. Dr. Draughn reviews the results of the ultrasound with you and constructs a detailed treatment plan at this initial visit.
It is our desire for you leave this visit with:
1. A diagnosis that you can understand.
2. A treatment plan that is right for you.
3. A simple explanation of the benefits and risks of any procedures recommended.
4. All questions answered to your satisfaction.
5. Properly fitted compression garments if needed.
6. Referral to another specialist, if your problem is not vein related.
7. A smile.
The venous system is very complex. Treatment for some people is nothing more than a few injections for spider veins at their first visit. For others with more significant venous problems, it is a step by step
process requiring several visits. Some may require lifelong management.
All of the procedures are simple, safe, effective, and performed in the office.
